Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Chandrababu Naidu, heading the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh with the BJP and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party, is on track to reclaim the state from the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The TDP has secured 135 of the 175 Assembly seats, while the Jana Sena Party has won 21 seats and the BJP has claimed 8, bringing the total alliance tally to 163. The YSRCP, contesting alone, managed to win only 12 seats.Sources have informed India Today that Naidu is expected to be sworn in as Chief Minister on June 9 in Amaravati.

After the results, Jagan Reddy, conceding defeat, tendered his resignation to Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer. Speaking to the media, the outgoing Chief Minister expressed uncertainty over the outcome but affirmed his dedicated service to the people. "I have given a voice to the voiceless. All the best to those who have won," he remarked. He also conducted an internal meeting of the YSRCP to assess the situation.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu engaged in discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah following the remarkable performance of the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh. Naidu congratulated both leaders on the alliance's success, receiving mutual congratulations from PM Modi and Shah in return.

The India Today-Axis My India exit poll had anticipated a significant victory for the NDA alliance in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, projecting the TDP-BJP-JSP coalition to secure 98–120 seats. As of the current report, the alliance has secured three seats and is leading in 157 constituencies. Conversely, the ruling YSRCP was forecasted to secure between 55 and 77 seats but has so far won none and is leading in only 15, according to Election Commission data.

Under the seat-sharing agreement, the TDP contested 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats, while the BJP fielded candidates in six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly constituencies. The Jana Sena Party contested two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats.

The results signify a significant resurgence for the TDP, which had faced a setback in the previous elections against the younger Jagan Reddy.
