Court records allege that Xavien Howard sent a sexually explicit photo to a minor.

According to a court filing, former Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard is accused of sending a sexually explicit photo of a woman to her underage son, purportedly for the purpose of manipulation or revenge.

The motion, filed in Broward Circuit Court on Thursday, aims to include the boy as a plaintiff in a woman's lawsuit. The woman previously alleged that Howard recorded and distributed sexual videos involving them to a third party without her consent.

According to court documents, Xavien Howard was reportedly involved in a sexual relationship with the boy's mother. The lawsuit alleges that after the boy's mother refused Howard's demand for an abortion following her pregnancy, Howard texted a sexually explicit photo of them to the boy in September 2022.

Referred to as "John Doe" in the filing, the boy was a minor when he received the photo but has since reached the age of majority. His mother reportedly deleted the photo from his phone, but he accessed it through his iCloud account.

This latest allegation stems from a lawsuit filed by a woman named "Jane Doe" on May 23, 2023. The motion filed on Thursday seeks to add the boy to the lawsuit, citing similarities in their claims. Notably, the woman who initially filed the lawsuit and the boy are not related.

Xavien Howard's legal representative, Ted Craig of GrayRobinson, stated that Howard denies the allegations and looks forward to defending himself in court.

The lawsuit further details the timeline of Howard's relationship with Jane Doe, including the alleged receipt of sexually explicit videos from another woman via Instagram in September 2022. Despite a cease and desist letter sent to Howard in October 2022, Jane Doe claims to have received more explicit materials from Howard in April 2023, without her consent.

Both Jane Doe and John Doe are seeking judgments for damages exceeding $50,000 for intentional infliction of emotional distress. Additionally, Jane Doe is suing Howard for intrusion of privacy and sexual harassment, and she has requested an injunction to prevent Howard from disseminating any further unauthorized videos or photos.

Xavien Howard, 30, spent eight seasons with the Miami Dolphins before being released in March. A four-time Pro Bowler, Howard is currently a free agent, with his future in football uncertain.
